43 Water Channels in E. jakarta Normalized

As flood anticipation, around 43 water channels in East Jakarta are normalized. The work is targeted to be complete this September.

Totally, the work has reached 80 percent and is targeted to be complete this September

Those channels are located on Jalan Binamarga (Cipayung), Jalan DI Panjaitan (Jatinegara) Situ Pedongkelan, Pasar Rebo and also Kampung Ambon-Pulogadung connecting channel.

Water Channel on Jalan Jembatan III Cleaned

Head of Water Maintenance Section for East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Mukhid acknowledged the channel normalization was actually been carried out last July which includes drainage and sheet pile.

“ Totally, the work has reached 80 percent and is targeted to be complete this September ,” he said, Tuesday (9/1).

Mukhid stated that the effort is as anticipation way to tackle puddle. The work is also handled by Infrastructure and Public Handling (PPSU) officer in every urban village. 

“We handle the normalization work and stoppage by PPSU,” he finished.
